Announcing… The Logan Crossing mixed-use development has been recognized for its exceptional design and construction by The Masonry Advisory Council Organization winning two 2022 Excellence in Masonry Award in the categories of Mixed-Use Winner & Best of Brick. The awards were presented by the Masonry Advisory Council who recognizes projects that demonstrate outstanding workmanship, innovation, and creativity in masonry design and construction. Best of Brick is the top award given annually at the event – so as you can imagine, MILLER+MILLER was thrilled to hear the Logan Crossing development project was awarded as the winning project & design!!

The Excellence in Masonry Architectural Awards program annually recognizes architectural design excellence and the talent behind the execution of making those design concepts a reality. Architectural firms, mason contractors, and product suppliers are recognized for their contribution to architectural design, construction expertise, and the use of brick, block, and stone materials to complete commercial and residential projects. This was MILLER+MILLER’s 2nd year Midwest Masonry commissioned us as their Chicago architectural photographer to capture photography to submit for the award, and to capture the masonry contractor company’s portfolio of work.

The Logan Crossing photography development shoot incorporated architectural photos focusing on images capturing the entire Chicago development from the ground level and drone aerial shots. Also documenting photography of the building’s many unique features of brick & stone and design elements. This large scale urban and new construction development incorporates architecturally designed historic facades featuring two-tone brick coloring in grey and red brick colors and unique brick details. Masonry details included special corbeling and detailing, cast stone decorative elements near roofline, a decorative brick banding (running above level 1), cast stone header detail above the windows, herringbone brick pattern inlays, bollards, decorative Fipon cornice, and quoined brick piers at the corners.

Chicago’s most recent growth and development boom has been located closer to downtown and the Loop, areas like in the West Loop, Fulton Market region of Chicago. Logan Crossing is a new mixed-use development located Northwest of the city, and the heart of the Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago which provides an opportunity for growth for the Square.

The project features a striking modern loft building design wrapped in two-tone colored grey and red brick with historic facades details. The property’s design strategy was to become a hub of activity for both residents and visitors alike. The development features a mix of residential and commercial spaces, including apartments, retail stores, and restaurants. Logan’s Crossing is a redevelopment on the former site of the Logan’s Megamall at the southwest corner of North Milwaukee and North Sacramento Avenues.

The residential component of the development is situated above approximately 62,000 square feet of retail space anchored by a Neighborhood Target retail store. The residential luxury apartment units are steps away from the L train to the Loop and offer a sleek and modern design, with high-end finishes and amenities. The building has an array of amenities, including a fitness center, a rooftop deck, resort-style pool, Poolside Cabanas & Firepit, and a resident coworking lounge. The retail spaces on the ground floor of the building are home to a variety of local businesses, creating a vibrant, and diverse community hub.

Logan Crossing’s location in Logan Square offers easy access to a wide range of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. This blog post features images from our exterior RISE at Riverfront Crossings Iowa City photography architectural shoot. The two-tower, mixed-use complex development rises 15-stories high. The new, high-rise towers make for an attractive, modern update to downtown Iowa City’s expanding skyline.

The metal and glass, duo-tower architecture, modern skyscraper development is home to two new businesses in Iowa City Hyatt Place Hotel Iowa City Downtown and off-campus student housing residential apartments RISE at Riverfront Crossings. Focusing on the building’s exterior photography, the building shoot of the two-towers highlights the property’s mixed-use, and façade construction design. The new construction Iowa City project is both an urban residential, student housing development, mixed with hotel hospitality downtown in Iowa City. The Rise at Riverfront Crossings development achieved LEED Gold Certification for sustainability.

Chicago-based photographers, we travel to Iowa, around the Midwest, and we are often booking travel architecture shoots Nationwide! Upon final construction completion, our client who is the manufacturer and installation construction company of the glass and metal building enclosures, requested portfolio marketing architectural images looking for us to highlight in photography the modern architecture’s metal & glass. The high-rise property and Iowa architectural photography shoot included capturing both day and night exterior building photographs of RISE and the Hyatt Place Hotel in Iowa City. The photos focused on construction marketing portfolio photos to showcase the final construction of the large mixed-use property site capturing both the hospitality and luxury apartment student housing complex towers. The location offered an excellent setting for adding drone aerial building photos, in additional to the daytime, and eye-catching sunrise or night dusk exterior photography of the property. We are photographers who have photographed several luxury apartment and condo development photography & similar architecture designed development student housing projects.

The modern luxury, 2-story high-rise and mid-rise Iowa development property with underground parking garage is located in downtown Iowa City within the downtown’s university area. The mixed-use development complex is steps away from the University of Iowa campus. RISE is the University of Iowa’s new student apartments and premium upscale housing, off-campus living apartment community. Offering brand new, stunning interior design and rooms inside, these apartments feature the latest in upscale student housing trends and amenities. Our photography client continues to be building Nationwide, constructing numerous luxury, and upscale student housing developments with unique, incredible modern architecture & building design. The mixed-use development and RISE at Riverfront Crossings incorporates all the extras expected in luxury dorm, off-campus living. Unique to other student housing projects we’ve photographed, for this Iowa City development’s design it offers the convenience of an on-site Hyatt Place hotel for student’s parents and visitors to rent a hotel room in the adjoining tower near by.

Capturing exterior building photography of the two, 15-story and high-rise towers that create the new Iowa City downtown skyline, our shoot includes photos of the property’s outdoor facade, multiple entrances into the mixed-use development, the residential rental courtyard with pool deck for student’s pool-side lounging featuring an outdoor Jumbo-Tron to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes play where fire pits and grilling stations are nearby. With a long list of amenities on the Rise at Riverfront Crossings, student’s apartments tower, which go above and beyond standard student living, it was easily recognizable these apartments provide a luxury living space that gives University of Iowa students a comfortable, chic retreat from the hustle and bustle of academic life. The Rise and the Hyatt Place Hotel Iowa City twin towers offers both a luxury housing apartment building and luxurious hotel. Both are a great location near downtown Iowa City’s shopping & restaurants, and an easy walk to the U of I campus. The two-tower luxury student residence and hotel are located close to the Iowa River in downtown Iowa City. For hotel guests or student residents needing a break from studying, the nearby Iowa River waterfront park has walking & biking trails and opportunities for students who enjoy river boating & recreation too. Chicago photographers Miller + Miller Architectural Photography recently photographed skyline drone aerial, exterior building, and interior photography at Spoke Apartments in Chicago. Spoke Apartments is Chicago’s brand new, two-tower community in the River West neighborhood offering retail, commercial space, and residential apartments, townhomes rentals. One of our objectives for the shoot was a focus of photos for the communities residential marketing and photographs within the mix of unique on-site building amenities for residents. The apartment community’s marketing “728 reasons to live here. You could leave, but you don’t have to. This is the address that has it all.”

The open-concept and ultra-unique floor plans feature stainless steel appliances and dramatic panoramic views of the Chicago skyline. The mixed-use development has a convenient location offering instant access to River West, West Town, Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village, the bus, interstate, and downtown Chicago via the CTA Blue Line subway and Milwaukee Avenue’s “Hipster Highway.”

M+M is a Chicago drone aerial photographer, exterior architecture, and interior room apartment photographer. The exterior and interior photographs for this Chicago apartment photography shoot included a specific request for the photos to be atmospheric and the shoot to include lifestyle architectural exterior and interior photos with people. The images not only captured the architectural surrounding for exteriors and interior room photographs, but also incorporated people and residents in motion, adding a trendy lifestyle element into the photos to be used for the leasing marketing for the Chicago apartment building’s busy location and the multi-family property amenity spaces.

One impressive highlight for this newly development apartment building is it’s abundance of on-site amenities for renters. The client desired us to choose the most impactful and photographic spaces whereas we selected the lobby and a few vibrant common area spaces for the photography to occur. A few of the numerous amenity spaces and rooms at Spoke include a Virtual cycling studio, yoga, gaming room, luxury sky lounge penthouse, party rooms, spinning studio, 24-hour fitness center, an acre plus of outdoor space, the South Tower’s indoor/outdoor fireplace, outdoor terraces, rooftop pool, private cabanas, bbq, outdoor kitchens, firepits, dog run & spa, parking garage, stage, music room, game room, and recording studio.

Inside the apartment property are unique interior décor designs, architectural design elements, and art filling the interior of the commercial residential building. Curated by Patti Gilford Fine Arts, 24 innovative Chicago-based artists were carefully selected to complement the architecture and culture of Spoke. Akin to living in a contemporary art gallery, the lobbies, amenity spaces, and residential corridors of each building display vibrant, diverse, and thought-provoking paintings, drawings, photography and more providing an unrivaled cultural experience of living alongside contemporary art. We enjoyed the mixing all of the vibrant elements together combining the unique amenity room’s luxury and artsy design details with people walking within the artistic architectural interior photography images.

The Spoke development is the result of a collaboration between Morgan Holdings and the Bond Companies. Ronnie Morgan and Rob & Larry Bond joined forces to create the best residential rental community in this prime location in Chicago, Illinois.
