Scottsdale developers Optima created Optima Kierland which provides multiple living options for residents in Arizona.  The Optima Kierland development is a community that caters to desert dwellers who love modern living arrangements, an abundance of amenities, and appreciate the desert landscape & innovative location in which to live.  This post features example photos from our exterior building photography project shoot taking place at the brand new Arizona development.  A North Scottsdale Developers Optima & Optima Kierland Development photography shoot.

The Arizona desert landscape was looking beautiful and the Fall season was perfect fit our October building photography shoot in Scottsdale.  For this project, our client contributed to the construction of the building’s structure, providing the metal and glass within the windows, walls, unit shades, balcony terraces, and doors enclosures for the stunning Optima Kierland community towers. The IAP Enclosure Systems company is a global, custom glass designer, with fabrication manufacturing, and installation glass and metal enclosure services. The photography shoot’s focus was on exterior elevation building photos (no interior shots) of the recently completed construction of the building. We photographed architectural building photos of the finished 7160 Optima Kierland building tower plus a few shots of 7120 East Optima tower, the community’s 2nd building under-construction.  Although this shoot focused on exterior construction building photography of the development only… keep in mind, our architectural photography company also photographs residential interiors and interior photography of condos, apartments, homes, luxury residences, and more. Browse through our blog and visit our Portfolio section for interior photo examples.

Our architectural photography company has locations in Chicago & Phoenix and the ability to travel Nationwide allowing us to cater specifically to each photography client, to often supply images for a company’s entire portfolio. We believe in the marketing power of strong images for an entire portfolio and photographing a series of projects and buildings locally to traveling nationwide for a multi-state shoot.  One of our niche architectural photography services is exterior building photography for new developments, architects, developer, new construction photos of buildings, and design build construction company’s finished projects for a business’s marketing portfolio.

This isn’t our first project photographing an education building architectural photography photos shoot.  During this project, our image focus was on the skyscraper school, high-rise building construction and architectural pictures of the finished building. We captured architectural pictures of the state-of-the-art school building in Chicago showcasing the building’s primary entrances and angles on the south & west elevations. Each side of the property’s facade has a playful mix of glass, metal, and unique use of bold colors. As a Chicago Architectural Photographer specializing in new construction and unique architecture building photography, we travel the Nation photographing buildings and shooting photos of many of the United State’s best architecturally designed buildings. We enjoyed the modern & strategic use of material details within this building’s design. The modernist facade elevations of Gems World Academy utilizes eye-catching primary colors.  Our client requested day time exterior building photography showing off the building’s unique curtain wall and color filled exterior facade panels. The distinctive mid-rise building stands out within the Chicago skyline with modern interlacing and stripes in red, yellow and blue.

Farnsworth House | Architect Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe

Farnsworth House

Farnsworth House

Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe

Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe

The Farnsworth House, was designed and constructed by Master Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, located 55 miles southwest of Chicago’s downtown on a 60-acre estate site, adjoining the Fox River, in between Yorkville & Plano, Illinois, Directly across from Silver Springs State Park. The steel and glass house was commissioned by Dr. Edith Farnsworth, a prominent Chicago nephrologist, as a place where she could engage in her hobbies; playing the violin, translating poetry, and enjoying nature. Mies created a 1,500-square-foot house that is widely recognized as an iconic masterpiece of modernist architecture. The home was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2006, after joining the National Register of Historic Places.

Work began on the Farnsworth House in 1950 and was substantially completed in 1951. The total cost of the house was $74,000 in 1951, or about $1,000,000 in present day dollars. A cost overrun of $16,000 over the approved pre-construction budget of $58,400, was due to escalating post-war material prices resulting from inflationary shortages arising from the mobilization for the Korean War.
