Our next blog post features photos from a MILLER + MILLER Architectural Photography Wisconsin interior architectural photography project shoot for Flad Architects – Sentry Insurance Corporate Headquarters Lobby Renovation.  Our second corporate headquarters refresh. See both of the lobby interior renovation shoots by our client and friends at Flad Architects.  Flad Architects is located in Madison and booked us for this cost shared architectural photographer shoot which took place at the Sentry Insurance Headquarters building in Stevens Point, Wisconsin located on the SentryWorld Campus.

A few of our interior photography objectives for the Wisconsin architect’s photo shoot was to capture photos of the renovation’s architectural details, new room layout designs, and the stunning custom lighting’s essence by highlighting the luminous centerpiece — a radiant chandelier.  The lobby’s large lighting masterpiece installation captivated everyone the moment they entered the corporate building on our shoot day.

The Sentry Insurance Headquarter’s office lobby features the stunning, custom Yellow Goat Design acrylic blue, Floe chandelier centerpiece light.  The light design & installation was a custom collaboration between Flad Architects and YGD to create an iconic light installation that reflects the insurance company’s brand colors featuring blue acrylic slices suspended to form a three-dimensional shape interpretation of Sentry’s corporate logo. The LED bi-pins lights added sparkle and glow to the hanging acrylic panels and lobby room.  According to Yellow Goat Design, the company says the light “successfully represents a feeling of warmth for all that walk through the doors – inspiring trust, inspiration, conversation and vibrancy.”

Wisconsin’s Sentry Insurance corporate headquarters transformative interior renovation by Flad Architect provides for elevating collaboration spaces and redefining the modern workplace environment. The refreshed office’s interior photography shoot captured photos of the headquarters’ revitalized lobby, newly designed meeting rooms, and dynamic collaborative areas. Flad’s architectural details inside the Wisconsin corporate office headquarters renovation introduced elegant terrazzo flooring, vertical walnut wood divider screens, and full-height, frameless glass wall systems. The architect’s design updates were complemented by cutting-edge technology upgrades to support a contemporary, and connected modern workspace environment.

The corporate headquarters office’s revitalization photographs shoot included both on the ground and photographing aerial drone photography exterior building images.  As an exterior architectural photographer, with the option for requesting drone aerial images, the ability to photograph the entrance canopy connecting the parking garage to the building, and the landscape architecture improvements on the terrace completed by Flad Architect’s landscape experts, allowed for a variety of both ground eye-level and drone elevations.

We captured a variety of portfolio imagery angles showcasing the architect’s enhancements to the inner courtyards and multi-tiered terrace below. Building design improvements by the architect and photographs included photography of the building’s new exterior glass curtain wall facade and a reimagined landscape architect design on the terrace featuring pergolas, new pavers, stylish lounge seating, and uplighting—creating a serene garden retreat for employees, customers, and visitors to enjoy.  Our last photograph of the shoot was featuring the light installation, glowing through the lobby’s glass at night after dark.

The iconic, award-winning original Sentry Insurance Campus facility building, located in central Wisconsin, was originally designed by Flad in the late 1970s, and was a progressive work of architecture for its time. The described by many as sci-fi looking stone building has a figure 8 design, and centrally located 6-story atrium, allowing for natural light inside, and is raised above multiple levels of parking providing for an open, interior lush courtyard, plus beautiful surrounding views being perched high with viewing vantage points across small-town Wisconsin. Continuing to work with Flad today approximately 25 years later, Flad and Sentry have been enhancing and modernizing their corporate building facilities with construction completion across multiple buildings in Wisconsin, Stevens Point, and Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Chicago’s most recent growth and development boom has been located closer to downtown and the Loop, areas like in the West Loop, Fulton Market region of Chicago.  Logan Crossing is a new mixed-use development located Northwest of the city, and the heart of the Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago which provides an opportunity for growth for the Square.

The project features a striking modern loft building design wrapped in two-tone colored grey and red brick with historic facades details.  The property’s design strategy was to become a hub of activity for both residents and visitors alike. The development features a mix of residential and commercial spaces, including apartments, retail stores, and restaurants. Logan’s Crossing is a redevelopment on the former site of the Logan’s Megamall at the southwest corner of North Milwaukee and North Sacramento Avenues.

The residential component of the development is situated above approximately 62,000 square feet of retail space anchored by a Neighborhood Target retail store. The residential luxury apartment units are steps away from the L train to the Loop and offer a sleek and modern design, with high-end finishes and amenities. The building has an array of amenities, including a fitness center, a rooftop deck, resort-style pool, Poolside Cabanas & Firepit, and a resident coworking lounge. The retail spaces on the ground floor of the building are home to a variety of local businesses, creating a vibrant, and diverse community hub.

Logan Crossing’s location in Logan Square offers easy access to a wide range of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The neighborhood is known for its rich cultural heritage and lively arts scene, making it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. With its convenient location and impressive design, Logan Crossing already is becoming one of Chicago’s most sought-after residential and commercial destinations.

This post features photos from our June visit to the Quad Cities for photography of the I-74 Iowa Illinois Mississippi River Bridge. Officially named “The Twin Bridges”, the new transportation infrastructure bridge project spans the Mississippi River connecting Bettendorf, Iowa to Moline, Illinois.  We photograph structural art, infrastructure, architecture, buildings, industrial, bridges, transportation, and more around the Nationwide, so we we’re excited to be the selected photographer for this photo project close to home.  We set out to capture a variety of photography to include ground photos from the shore, images on the suspension bridge, drone aerial, day, and night images of the arch bridges. It was the perfect summer seasonal weather for the shoot providing for pedestrians and transportation both passing over the new Mississippi River bridges.

MILLER+MILLER Architectural Photography was commissioned by Miguel Rosales of Rosales + Partners for a photography architectural photo shoot of the new I-74 bridge in the Quad Cities.  The new I-74 Mississippi River crossing bridge construction connects the Illinois and Iowa state’s roads and transportation infrastructure – both a functional bridge with its infrastructure design, yet constructed as beautifully aesthetic designed structural piece of art.  The arching white bridges are visible from long range viewpoints miles away from the Illinois and Iowa Mississippi shorelines during the day and when illuminated at night.

The new $1.2-billion bridge fully opened to road traffic on Dec. 2, 2021.  The walkable, running, and bike friendly pedestrian portion of the bridge opened for use in April 2022 with the City of Bettendorf IA and Moline IL hosting a bike and pedestrian path dedication on May 18, 2022.  Waiting for optimum weather and the exterior landscape with trees in the area to be full of green leaves, our photo shoot proceeded in early June.  The I-74 bridge project is part of a regional strategy for improving access across the Mississippi. For updates on the I-74 River Bridge project, visit the bridge construction project website at I74RiverBridge.com.

MILLER+MILLER is a commercial architectural photography company who produces marketing images for architects, contractors, engineers, artists, mechanical, civic, government, and more professional companies.  M+M spent the day completing photography of the Mississippi Bridge in Moline Illinois and Bettendorf Iowa capturing variety of vantage points from both the ground level and bird’s eye height in the sky with our drone from sunrise to sunset.

A photography goal was to illustrate not only the final completed structure of the bridge, but also the beautiful landscape surrounding the twin arching bridges.  Producing aerial, day, sunset, and night photographs to showcase the bridge’s Summer time season, Midwest landscape, bridge uplighting illumination at night, and architecture structural design.  A goal of photographing images for the Quad Cities new landmark twin bridges which artistically capture architectural photos the suspension bridge and twin steel arches bridge structure.  The Quad Cities I-74 Iowa Illinois Mississippi River bridge design is a visually memorable and artistic connection for traffic driving over the Mississippi River and between the states of Iowa and Illinois.

Pedestrians and visitors to the bridge river crossing site are able to use the bike and pedestrian path which features on top a scenic overlook with a glass oculus floor.  The oculus view point provides the public with a unique view through the glass of the Mississippi River flowing below as well as a viewing platform to view the west setting sunsets over the Mississippi river valley.  The 10-foot diameter glass oculus is made of thick, safe to stand on with the tempered glass with a textured surface to provide traction.  In the evening, the bridge glows with up lighting, and the entire path is lit at night to include the pedestrian bridge’s summit scenic water overlook.  The fully separated pedestrian bridge is ADA accessible.  The path connects to existing trails on both sides of the Mississippi River waterway between Davenport, Rock Island, Bettendorf, and Moline. The old I-74 bridge is planned for demolition.

On December 1, 2021, thousands of residents and visitors participated in a celebration walk over the new I-74 River Bridge and celebrated the future of the Quad Cities together.
