Our Chicago hotel building exterior photography shoot of the Marriott Marquis Chicago Hotel Skyscraper occurred a few days after the Marriott International Hotel Company first opened the Marriott Marquis’ doors on September 10th. Our architectural photography and Chicago hotel photographer husband & wife company met with our Construction Company client over the Summer to discuss photographing several Chicago area buildings.  Our photography company has experience in hotels, hospitality & resort photography in Chicago and beyond.  Our client booked not only Chicago hotel photography, but 15 finished construction building photo projects for the company’s marketing department portfolio, press releases, and promotional imagery. The architectural Chicago hotel photography of the Marriott Marquis Chicago Hotel need to be timed and scheduling of the photo shoot was in the early Fall season – awaiting the exterior building construction completion.

Our architectural photography company incorporated in 2006 and based in Chicago has photographed hotel additions, hospitality renovations, architecture, and hotel construction photography over the years. The Marriott Marquis hotel is one of the tallest hotel skyscraper in Chicago to be built and during construction has also been called Chicago’s new Mega Hotel. The 1,205 room hotel is currently Chicago’s sixth largest hotel. A modern Chicago hotel with a distinctive blue all glass curtain wall skyscraper hotel construction design. The 40-story structure in Chicago’s South Loop skyline is located near the three corners of MLK Drive, Cermak Road and Prairie Avenue.  An array of photos of the new construction hotel were photographed.  Photos focused on architectural hotel building images showcasing the hotel property’s full construction.  As well as architectural construction details images and photography of the hotel combining in parts of the nearby convention center and arena buildings.  The combo of images help to showcase not only hospitality images of the hotel, but also the property’s location adjacent to the Chicago buildings of the McCormick Place Convention Center and Wintrust Arena.

South Loop Chicago Skyline

We couldn’t resist capturing a couple of South Loop Chicago Skyline Photos during our photo client’s Chicago architectural photography shoot at the South Loop’s newest mega hotel Marriott Marquis Chicago.  The high-rise hotel skyscraper recently finished construction at the end of 2017 and accents the south loop with its blue-tinted steel & glass skyscraper building.  View photos & all blog posts related to the Marriott Marquis hotel and McCormick Square Development area in Chicago’s South Loop.

This short blog post features two photos of the south view of Chicago’s Skyline.  As Chicago photographers with ten years of professional architectural photography experience, we have captured countless Chicago skyline photography angles and photographed from nearly each and every panoramic point around the City of Chicago’s beautiful skyline. Development in the South Loop real estate corridor have undergone a development boom and tremendous growth over the past 10 years.  This massive growth has helped to enhance the panoramic Southern photo views of the Chicago skyline when photographed from the South Loop area.

The South Loop Chicago area is located just south of Chicago’s business area called the Loop.  The South Loop region stretches from Congress Parkway at the Northern tip of the Printer’s Row neighborhood and stretching south from the southern point of Grant Park, following along the park east to Museum Campus.  The Museum Campus’s historical and architectural iconic buildings of the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium and Soldier Field are situated along the scenic lakefront of Lake Michigan.  To the east on a peninsula stretching out over the water of Lake Michigan is Northerly Island.  This manmade peninsula is a popular attraction in the South Loop sought out by nature lovers exploring the new 91-acre living ecosystem of Northerly Island, Burnham Harbor yachting, boating, sports and music fans. Additional South Loop’s historical sites include Motor Row District along South Michigan Avenue and the Prairie Avenue District “Millionaire’s Row” streets lined with mansions of Chicago’s most wealthy elite during the end of the 19th century. The southern section of the South Loop is frequented by travelers for business and pleasure attending hotel conferences, expos, meetings, and events in the South Loop at McCormick Place, the largest convention center in the country.   The western edges of the South Loop is the Chicago River and southern border is the I-55 Stevenson Expressway.

We travel nationwide for architectural photography projects, and after visiting nearly every state in the US, the Chicago skyline in our opinion is one of the most impressive skylines in the world.  For these South Loop Chicago skyline photos, the image angles were one-of-a-kind, and photographed without a drone. Our shoot provided for an over the rooftop building position & bird’s-eye aerial photography view looking north over the architecture and real estate in the South Loop.

If you impress your audience with great imagery, your are making a great first impression. Great first impressions draw the consumer in, often leading them to narrowing down their options quicker, and eventually lead to decision making and closed sales. When selling architecture or real estate, the first photo a potential buyer sees of a penthouse condo, luxury home or apartment, should be a strong representation of the community and the home.  Less-than-flattering pictures can turn buyers off and lead to lonely open houses.

We enjoy our loyal clients who come back to us for repeat interior and exterior photography projects.  One client mentioned after implementing their first home’s photos, a new home buyer and customer mentioned “upon first seeing this amazing photo, I knew I wanted to live in life in that photo and enjoy that lifestyle.”   Through the use of photography and building a company’s corporate image or company brand with photographs, developers, builders, marketing experts and more commonly say establishing a brand can create an impact on your audience.

As Chicago architectural photographers, we are capable of not only interior and exterior home photography such as the photographs previewed above, but we offer the option to provide photos beyond the single property or typical home photos.  Often we are commissioned to not only capture indoor and outdoor home photos of our client’s personal residence or the agent’s listed home, whether being a residential location such as a rooftop penthouse, loft, condominium, or luxury townhome or photos of a commercial property, photography of a new condo construction project in Chicago, multi unit suburban or downtown development, or investment property, but we are happy to also provide and offer an option to upgrade our services with extra architectural photography items such as aerial photography, environment architecture photographs, lifestyle photography, nearby location landmarks, travel and leisure photography.

For this project, we photographed a two bedroom, two bath luxury condo located  in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood in a high-rise tower within the One Museum Park West Tower IV development.  With it’s ideal and prime development location on Lake Michigan, this waterfront location overlooks Chicago’s Grant Park, The Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Solider Field Stadium, boats, yachts and Chicago Burnham Harbor.  We talked about how the One Museum Park West development offers homebuyers not only to buy an amazing property, but they are also buying a lifestyle and the nearby urban community which goes along with living in the South Loop neighborhood.  Our client decided to add on a day of Chicago architecture photographs which was beyond the real estate interior and exterior photography.  Our architecture focus was to capture lifestyle photos all within viewing distance of the penthouse condo’s balcony.  Locations included a few City landmarks viewed from the terrace such as Buckingham Fountain, pictures of the museums, Chicago yacht club, aerial photos of Soldier Field, and a full exterior skyscraper building photographs from Grant Park showcasing the properties proximity to the nearby Loop and business corridor.  This South Loop development is ideally located close for commuters into the Loop, with easy travel to downtown commercial and corporate buildings.  Within the Park West Tower IV building, we captured photos of the high-rise building’s pool and resident amenities.  The extra photographs beyond the real estate and luxury condo photography home tour pictures were a perfect compliment to help illustrate and sell a lifestyle photographically.

So whether your marketing a metropolitan landmark, looking to feature a destination or travel location through photography, or selling a property, while searching online real estate agents, sales and marketing departments, online listing services, and web designers all agree, great imagery provides to the seller or end user a great impression.  We look forward to your contact and please send us an email so we can learn more about your travel photography project, your future development either underway in construction or completed, or your luxury home or residence’s marketing photography needs.  We travel often, so our capabilities are not limited to the Northern Illinois metropolitan area.  We are available to travel to a number of destinations in urban regions, cities and towns around the U.S., and occasionally outside of the Nation for International projects.
