Pulse is a new 6,000-square-foot gas station and offers unique, convenience store, food and specialty items to purchase, different than other gas stations in the Elkhart / South Bend Indiana area.  The station has a brick-oven pizzeria readily available for customers to craft order their own pizza’s toppings for a custom made pizza pie, a large self-service candy wall, 15 different flavors of frozen yogurt available, specialty grocery foods, large flavored coffee bar, frozen foods section, a larger variety of the typical station foods, and drinks.  Truly a creative and different style of gas station/convenience store concept that provides for a small dining seating area on-site too.

The Elkhart / South Bend Indiana Pulse Gas Station Photography shoot incorporated interior photography inside of the Elkhart retail commercial gas station store included photos in the sections graphically called U Craft Woodfired Pizza, U Brew Coffee Bar, U Twirl Frozen Yogurt, Treat U Self to the gourmet candy sweets wall, and the restaurant seating area inside.  Outside, drone and the exterior photography of the gas station property included a couple of angles of the building and photos both with and without the gas station pumps & canopy.  We photographed creative angles and real estate photography capturing the gas station architecture during the daytime, and in dusk night photos.  The developer says plan are in the works to build four or more locations in the coming years.

Discussing the building’s commercial construction exterior and interior photography project with the client, due to the photography shoot’s property being open to the public, customers would be utilizing the photographed space 24-7.  For the highly public, real estate photographed spaces, our client appreciated we are photographers with an ability to incorporate interior photography of the gas stations and interior retail convenience store with marketing photos to include a lifestyle component to the shots, whereas the customers and people of the public will be blurred and moving throughout the interior retail architectural photography building’s photoshoot. Customers and employees within the photographs add life, movement, and people which help to provide a sense of scale within the composition of each photograph taken.

A highly-focused and unique gas station incorporating a strategic marketing business concept, the Pulse Gas Station design incorporates a culture based around concepts of delivering “awesome”.   That culture is carried throughout not only graphically and visually within the Elkhart building’s retail store, but in the company’s philosophical branding.  Pulse is selling not only awesome retail products, but also providing a culture of delivering awesome service too!

The interior design of the Pulse retail convenience store is a family-friendly atmosphere.  Our indoor, photo shoot of the store showcased the convenience retail store’s variety of sections and retail departments plus its unique branding.  Offering premium shopping experience and a contemporary environment with creative signage and graphic design visuals throughout the Elkhart South Bend’s interior store floorplan.  Lively, the graphic designer’s designs provide for an atmosphere of inviting yet bold colors throughout the interior of the building’s shopping mart sections.  The gas station concept inside Pulse offers is a casual feel with a small and convenient retail store shopping experience which offers a one stop destination for customer’s to “fill up on awesome”.   Pulse Gas Station, www.filluponawesome.com  501 County Road 6, Elkhart, IN 46514

Today’s post features sample architectural exterior building photos of The Harold Washington Social Security Government Building Renovation in Chicago. Our client, an architectural commercial construction company, requested building photography at multiple project locations of commercial buildings around Chicago and the suburbs showcasing past projects for the client’s marketing and construction portfolio of images for business.

The Harold Washington Social Security Center is located in the West Loop of Chicago. The headquarters for SSA’s Chicago regional office was built in 1975. The government building recently underwent a renovation. The 10-story building is made of composite steel, a reinforced concrete structural frame clad in pre-cast concrete panels, and a glass and spandrel curtain wall. The construction team in charge of the concrete building with new modern glass renovation Chicago construction project are Jacobs Ryan Associates Landscape Architects, Bergland Construction, and Harmon Inc.

The modernized, new Harold Washington Social Security Government Building occupies one city block of Chicago’s West Loop. City of Chicago Harold Washington Social Security Government building features public art at the building’s entrance. A giant, 101-foot-tall, outdoor steel sculpture baseball bat named Batcolumn (or Bat Column) by artist Claes Oldenburg.

Chicago’s skyscrapers, chimney stacks, neoclassical columns, steel bridge cross-bracing and construction cranes inspired the design of Claes Oldenburg’s heroic- scaled, lattice-shell baseball bat. On observing Chicago’s flat terrain, the Swedish-born artist once commented, “the real art here is architecture, or anything that really stands up.” Oldenburg’s Batcolumn demonstrates the artist’s fascination with scale and the changes in the significance of everyday objects when they are enlarged to monumental proportions. Like all of Oldenburg’s monuments, Batcolumn combines a humorous and irreverent attitude toward popular objects with meticulous construction details and handling of scale and proportion. It can alternately be seen as a reference to historical monumental columns, a salute to the American institution of baseball or a tribute to the steel industry.  Source, The Chicago Public Art Guide

According to the Chicago Tribune story and Northwest Herald article the $247M, 4-year modernization building project’s construction started in 2013 and completed in September 2017.  Barrington’s Good Shepherd Hospital first opened in 1979 and now serves patients in Cook, Lake and McHenry counties. The Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital renovation project added 230,000 square feet.  The healthcare building construction project included an architect’s reno plan, a hospital design, construction and renovation of 150,000 existing square feet.

The photography shoot had a primary focus on photographs of the new designed entrance and the highlight of the hospital renovation modernization construction at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.  The new modern entrance and new glass exterior building facade is highly visible upon first arriving at the hospital’s main entrance drive.  The main entrance doors features new floor-to-ceiling windows, which overlooks a landscaped garden.  This new all glass facade opens up and modernizes the old main entrance space, allowing an abundance of natural light to enter into the building. Both the new entryway and addition of a serpentine glass wall construction seamlessly flows visitors into the new Paul and Barbara Hills Center for Advanced Care wing.  This modern glass addition dramatically modernizes the building’s main elevation on the Southwest side of the healthcare facility. The building’s glass entry, glass floor to ceiling southwest facade, and glass serpentine wall of the property by Harmon Construction Inc.Harmoninc.com construction company.
