Capturing an Architect’s Vision of Liberty Bridge in Greenville South Carolina: Architectural Video

Capturing the Majesty of Liberty Bridge: A Stunning Architectural Video by MILLER+MILLER

At MILLER+MILLER Architectural Photography, we are photographers who thrive on capturing the beauty and complexity of infrastructure, bridges, industrial projects, and construction sites. The more unique and challenging the project, the more it ignites our passion. So, when renowned bridge architect Miguel Rosales of Rosales + Partners entrusted us to create an architectural video showcasing the iconic Liberty Bridge in Greenville, South Carolina, we were beyond thrilled.

The Beauty of Liberty Bridge in Greenville, SC

Nestled in the heart of Falls Park on the Reedy, the Liberty Bridge is a masterpiece of modern engineering and design. This pedestrian suspension bridge, with its striking twin towers and elegant cable system, spans the Reedy River above the breathtaking Reedy River Falls. The bridge’s unique curved design and open-air amphitheater views make it a standout landmark, blending seamlessly with the natural beauty of cascading waterfalls and lush greenery.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor exploring downtown Greenville, the Liberty Bridge is a must-see attraction. It’s not just a bridge—it’s an experience, offering panoramic views of the falls and a serene connection to nature. As one of Greenville’s most iconic destinations, it draws photographers, families, and tourists alike, making it a perfect subject for our latest architectural video project.

Crafting Cinematic Beauty

To do justice to the Liberty Bridge’s architectural elegance and its stunning surroundings, we employed cutting-edge cinematography techniques. Our cinematographer husband & wife team captured the bridge in High Dynamic Range (HDR) 4K 60P quality, ensuring every detail—from the sleek cables to the shimmering water below—was vividly portrayed. Using a combination of aerial drone footage, timelapse sequences, and gimbal-stabilized shots, we created a dynamic and immersive video that highlights the bridge’s unique design and its harmonious integration with the natural landscape. Our goal was to showcase not just the structure but the story it tells—a testament to innovative architecture and Greenville’s commitment to creating spaces that inspire. Working with world-renown architect Miguel Rosales, whose visionary designs have shaped iconic bridges worldwide, was an honor and an opportunity to push our creative boundaries.

The Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, formerly named the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, opened in 2002 in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.  As a professional architectural photographer in Chicago with an array of quality, pro lenses purchased specifically for photographing architecture, Miller + Miller Photography team was looking forward to the challenge of photographing the Sofitel and its unique architecture.  As a Chicago Hotel Photographer team, photographing the modern Chicago hotel building was yes a challenge, but has been known to be somewhat difficult for the novice photographer, due to not only the skyscraper’s height but proximity to its neighboring, soaring Chicago buildings adjacent.

The Sofitel Hotel’s exterior building shape is a triangular prism sitting on a square piece of land, with acute angles cutting into the air like the prow of a majestic ship.  Located in the historic district of Chicago crowded with perpendicular skyscrapers, the challenge was to photograph this modern luxury hotel from the street level, in a way that captures the building both flattering to the eye and imagination.  All accomplished with our 10+ years of experience, strategy, and architectural specialty, professional photography lenses.  For one of the images, we were able to include in one photograph both the Sofitel and the Waldorf Astoria hotel skyscrapers together, in one photographed shot.  A somewhat tricky shot to compose with the two hotel’s locations blocks away from one another.

The impressive Sofitel was architecturally designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier.  Photos of the southern façade of the hotel building projects into the sky with a unique knifelike edge extending 33 feet over the East Chestnut Street sidewalk. The iconic building design has been honored within a list of America’s Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.  The unique hotel design is a 32-floor prism of glass featuring stunning views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.  A modern, Chicago luxury hotel skyscraper building, the Sofitel’s Gold Coast neighborhood boasts several hospitality establishments and luxury hotels.  The hotel’s downtown area is steps from dynamic shopping, restaurants, nightlife and museums.  A popular area of Chicago for travelers & tourists to stay downtown, the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile hotel’s prime location is minutes away from the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Navy Pier and more iconic parts of our famous Windy City.
